Bishop Llanos Attends Audience with Pope Leo XIV

On October 22, 2025, Pope Leo XIV received a delegation from the Committee for the Construction of the Sanctuary of St. John Paul II in Antigua and Barbuda at an audience in the Vatican. The delegation was led by H.E. Bishop Robert A. Llanos – Diocese of Saint John’s-Basseterre and the Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Antigua and Barbuda, H.E. Przemyslaw Häuser-Schöneich. While there, Pope Leo XIV also consecrated the cornerstone (a stone from St. Peter’s tomb), which will be used in the refurbished Sanctuary.
