Mission Statement
The Diocesan Catholic Schools of St. John’s-Basseterre have a twofold mission. First, they aim to provide a Catholic education that enables students to live faith-based lives and pass on Catholic Christian values to future generations. Second, the schools seek to equip students with the academic skills needed to function successfully in the global community.
Philosophy
The Catholic school forms part of the saving mission of the Church, especially for education in faith. We provide a Catholic education to our students. It is part of the overall mission of the Church to educate our students with the understanding that the life of Christ was and is the shining example of how Christians should live.
Goal
The diocesan Catholic Schools exist and are necessary in order to create Christian education communities where human knowledge, enlightened and enlivened by faith, is shared by teachers, students and parents in a spirit of freedom and love.
