The ministries of Catechetics and Youth, in collaboration with the Pontifical Mission Societies, have opted for an innovative approach to evangelization. Dubbed a “Can Concert,” the team will stage a display of vocals, dance, and instruments on Sunday, 17th December 2023 at 5 p.m. on the grounds of the Holy Family Cathedral. Unlike other events of this nature, there will be no need to pay an entrance fee. So, you may be asking just how do I gain entry to what promises to be an amazing event? Well, simply deposit one or more non-perishable items into the boxes at the entrance and you could have a front-row seat if you desire. A bit unconventional, but the organizers have dedicated the proceeds from this event to support the evangelization activities of the parish. As a consequence, the food items will form part of numerous Christmas hampers which will be distributed to those who are most in need within the local church and surrounding communities.
